Account and Data Deletion

At Trax AI, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you decide to delete your account, we provide simple ways to permanently remove your information from our systems.

How to Delete Your Account

You have two options to delete your Trax AI account:

Method 1: Delete Through the App

1. Open the Trax AI app on your device

2. Navigate to Settings

3. Find "Account Settings" or "Privacy Settings"

4. Select "Delete Account" or "Delete My Data"

5. Read the confirmation message carefully

6. Confirm your decision by tapping "Delete Account"

7. Your account deletion will begin immediately

Method 2: Contact Our Support Team

1. Send an email to: support@traxai.app

2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

3. Include in your email:

   Your account email address

   Your full name as it appears in the app

   Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account and all data

4. Send from the same email address associated with your account

5. We will respond within 24-48 hours and complete deletion within 5 business days

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

Your profile information (name, email, age, weight, height, goals)

All nutrition tracking data and food logs

Weight progress history and analytics

App preferences and settings

Food photos and recognition history

Saved meal plans and recommendations

Your account will be immediately deactivated and any active subscriptions will be cancelled.

Important Notes

Data Recovery: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your data cannot be recovered.

Export Your Data First: If you want to keep your nutrition data, export it before deleting:

Go to Settings > Data Export in the app, or

Email support@traxai.app to request a data export

Subscription Management: Cancel subscriptions separately through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)

Timeline for Deletion

Immediate: Account access revoked

Within 24 hours: Data deletion begins

Within 7 days: Data removed from backup systems

Within 30 days: Complete deletion from all systems

What Remains After Deletion

We retain only:

Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked to you

Any data legally required to be retained (rare)

All personal data is permanently deleted.

Troubleshooting

Cannot access the app: Use email method (Method 2)

Forgotten email address: Contact support with any account information you remember

No confirmation email: Check spam folder or contact support within 48 hours

Subscription issues: Cancel through your device's app store or contact support

Your deletion rights are protected under privacy laws including GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California). We comply with applicable data protection laws worldwide.
